Coronavirus has had a significant impact on daily life. Prisons are not exempt from the of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). particularly at risk due to their secure environment and vulnerable inmate populations. We examine steps taken by 50 state departments correction Federal Bureau mitigate COVID-19 as reported websites. While states vary in response virus, those responses do appear be related regional or political differences. Few testing quarantining all inmates, there more proactive devoted staff than inmates facilities. Findings demonstrate that prison systems’ policies regarding testing, quarantining, provision personal protective equipment for fully align with Centers Disease Control Prevention recommendations. As result, systems taking effect may reactionary proactive, which less effective overall.
